Batch

Batch image upscaler, free in your browser

OpenPixels (openpixels.app) is a free, open source photo enhancer that runs on your own device. Its batch image upscaler enlarges any number of photos with the same settings, one after another, and the photos are never uploaded.

No account to start a run, no watermark, no limit on how many photos.

What a run gives you

One run of the batch image upscaler.

No limit on how many

Ten photos or a few hundred: the work happens on your own device, so there is no quota to count down.

A ZIP of the results

Download all as a ZIP saves every enlarged photo in one file, each as a PNG. One ZIP holds up to 4 GB.

A CSV of the measurements

Download the measurements gives one row per photo: its size before and after, how faithful the result is (PSNR and SSIM), and how sharpness and noise changed.

Steps

Use the batch image upscaler in five steps.

  1. Open the app and choose Several at once.
  2. Press Choose photos and pick as many as you like.
  3. Choose the Size (2×, 4× or 8×), What is it and Noise and grain. The same settings go to every photo.
  4. Press Start. Each photo shows Waiting, Working, Done or Failed, and you can press Stop at any time.
  5. Press Download all as a ZIP for the photos, which takes a free sign-in, and Download the measurements for the CSV, which does not.
Large runs

Hundreds of photos, on your own device.

Each photo is enlarged by your own computer or phone, so the speed is your device’s: a browser with WebGPU is fastest, and on a phone the batch image upscaler holds each result to about 16 megapixels. One ZIP holds up to 4 GB, so split a very large run into smaller batches.

For a run with no browser at all, the Windows and Mac apps have the same Several at once, work offline once their model has downloaded, and save without an account.

Limits

What a batch will not do.

Every photo in a run gets the same settings, so put photos that need a different size or model in a separate run. Enlarging cannot invent detail that was never captured, and a very large result is capped to what a browser tab can hold, with a note saying so.

Start the batch image upscaler.

One photo at a time instead? The image upscaler page covers each setting.

Questions

Before you open it.

Is the batch image upscaler free?

Yes. There is no watermark, no credits and no limit on how many photos you enlarge. Starting a run needs no account; the ZIP of results takes a free sign-in.

How many photos can I upscale at once?

As many as you like. The photos are processed one after another on your own device. One ZIP holds up to 4 GB, so download a very large run in smaller batches.

What is in the measurements CSV?

One row per photo: its size before and after, how faithful the result is to the original (PSNR and SSIM), and how sharpness and noise changed. Downloading it needs no sign-in.

Are the photos uploaded?

No. Every photo is processed inside your browser tab, on your own device. There is no server that accepts an image.

Can I run a batch offline?

Yes. Once the model has downloaded, the web app works with no connection. The Windows and Mac apps also run Several at once offline.
