An anime upscaler keeps lines clean.
A model trained on photographs looks for texture: skin, grass, fabric. On a drawing it adds texture that was never there. The anime upscaler model is made for flat areas of colour and crisp outlines, so lines stay sharp and fills stay flat when the image gets larger.

Use the anime upscaler in five steps.
- Open the app and press Choose a photo, or drop the image anywhere on the page.
- Under What is it, choose Drawing or anime. The first time, the anime upscaler model downloads, about 18 MB.
- Under Size, choose 2×, 4× or 8×.
- Press Enhance, then drag the slider to compare Original with Result.
- Press Save the photo.
For a whole chapter, open Several at once, choose the pages, and press Start. The anime upscaler applies the same settings to every page, and Download all as a ZIP gives you the results in one file.
When not to use the anime upscaler.
On photographs. The anime upscaler softens them. For a photo, keep Photograph and use the photo model instead.
On pixel art you want kept blocky. It redraws edges as smooth lines rather than keeping each pixel a hard square.
It cannot invent detail that was never drawn. Detail finer than the original pixels is the model’s best estimate. Very large results are capped, and the app says how far it can go before anything runs.

Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no limit on how many images you process. It runs in your browser, on your own device, and the image is never uploaded.
How do I switch to the anime upscaler?
Under What is it, choose Drawing or anime. That swaps in a model made for flat colour and line art. It is about an 18 MB download the first time, and after that it works offline.
Can I use the anime upscaler on photographs?
It is not made for them: the model softens photographs. For a photo, keep What is it on Photograph, or use Photograph, best quality.
How much larger can it make an image?
2×, 4× or 8×, or the same size, just cleaner. Very large results are capped, and the app says so before anything runs.
Does it keep pixel art as hard square pixels?
No. It redraws edges as smooth lines. If you want each pixel kept as a hard square, this is not the right tool.
Can I upscale a whole folder of manga pages?
